Maria Manhattan programmer
In addition to her quirky celebration of the American Songbook on WGXC’s The Hudson Café, a monthly broadcast on WGXC, Maria Manhattan has had a long career as a working artist. Currently creating porcelain sculpture, she has shown her work at galleries in Hudson, NYC and San Francisco. As an illustrator and art director she was involved with early Internet experiments for AT&T, RCA Labs, Sesame Street and others. She taught at the School of Visual Arts in NYC for 15 years. Since its inception, Maria has emceed the annual “Hudson in Concert” which takes place on the Hudson riverfront, and features the fifty-five piece Hudson Festival Orchestra.
