The People United: Gaza Birds Singing - Ahmed Abu Amsha (Audio)
This is a recording of a group of Palestinian musicians led by Ahmed Abu Amsha leading children in song in a displaced persons camp in Gaza in September 2026. Amsha’s organization Gaza Birds Singing and the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music in Gaza have been running singing sessions, music lessons and performances in makeshift tents and shelters across Gaza.
This recording was made by Gaza Birds Singing and submitted by Ahmed Abu Amsha.
Amsha says, “For me, music is not only art or entertainment. It is a tool for communication, emotional support, healing, hope, and giving children a voice and a reason to keep dreaming.”
"The People United," produced by Kalli Anderson is a recurring segment featuring field recordings, sound art, and non-narrated documentary montages on the theme of resistance, protest, and collective action.
