Current WGXC contributors and programmers are invited to attend a free workshop with veteran public radio producer, trainer, and professor Karen Michel at the Hudson Studio Sunday May 8th from 1-5 pm. This hands-on workshop will help you improve your field recording productions. Topics covered include: field recording, mic placement in the studio, hearing what's on and what's off mic, hearing the room, combining disparate elements into a radio program, and critiques of air checks of shows you've done.
