The composer/improviser/violinist/vocalist and media artist in excerpts from Roulette performances from 2021 for solo work and a 2013 electronic homage to his longtime collaborator, trumpet player Nate Wooley. C. Spencer Yeh was born in Taipei, Taiwan, studied film at Northwestern University, spent years in Ohio, and is now based in Brooklyn, NY. Yeh’s work has become increasingly interdisciplinary, incorporating his background in video and other mediums. As an improviser, Yeh has a distinct vocabulary meshing violin, voice, and electronics.
