The music of Booker Stardom, composer, percussionist, producer, educator, and Hudson Valley resident in two appearances at the Roulette Concert hall in Brooklyn: a solo for percussion, drums and electronics from 2025 and in a quartet organized by electronic artist and sound manipulator Carl Stone with Min Xiao-Fen on pipa and Elliott Sharp on electric guitar from 2023. Stardrum has been involved with countless experimental and improvisational collaborations, pop projects, film scores, and sound design productions, and has released three solo records. His compositions are sculptural, carved from the dense layering of instruments and manipulated samples, a pantonal harmonic sense, and an intuitive approach to rhythm.
