Pianist and composer Kelly Moran in a selection of electro-acoustic keyboard works recorded in concert at Roulette in 2017-18. The sole engineer and producer of her five solo albums, Moran specializes in works that employ extended techniques such as prepared piano which, by inserting foreign objects between the piano strings, gives the instrument a kind of gamelan or autoharp sound. Her album releases include Bloodroot on Telegraph Harp Records in 2017, and Ultraviolet on Warp Records in 2018 which is described as incorporating dazzling inflections of jazz and dream pop, neoclassical and black metal, darkness and light. Other projects and collaborations include Cellular Chaos, Voice Coils, Charlie Looker Ensemble, Margaret Leng-Chan, Yarn/Wire, and Oneohtrix Point Never, among many.
