This edition of "Backtracks in Time" features and interview with Lex Grey of Lex Grey and The Urban Pioneers about her upcoming performance "Women of the Blues" taking place this Sunday, Nov. 17 at Park Theater in Hudson. “Women of the Blues” features NYS Blues Hall of Fame inductee Lex Grey and guitarists Vic Mix and Ed Wasilewski of her blues band The Urban Pioneers and the music of Ma Rainey, Bessie Smith, and other seminal women that invented and defined the blues as an art form.
Backtracks in Time aired monthly on WGXC from May 2016 to November 2020 and is now produced as an occasional segment..
Dedicated to the history of Greene County, its notable people and places and the Hudson River. The show features interviews with local historians, longtime residents with stories to tell, and archival recorded material.
Jack Sencabaugh is a lifelong resident of the village of Catskill. His interest in local history began at a young age and he is currently a volunteer at the Freightmaster’s Museum Building at Historic Catskill Point. This WGXC podcast is subscribable.
