Mar 07, 2021
On March 2, 2021 the world lost music legend Neville "Bunny Wailer" Livingston – the last founding member of the seminal vocal trio that introduced the world to Jamaican popular music as it was evolving, in real time, into the genre of Reggae and embraced by musicians and audiences around the world. In this broadcast, we bring you a selection of international roots rock reggae in the spirit and groove of "Jah B" – may he never be forgotten. Music for the Masses invites you on an excursion of sound and rhythm. Discover the music of established and emerging artists, both signed and unsigned, on the international music scene. For the avid globe-hopper and armchair traveler alike. You might want to pack a map and a sandwich. Broadcast live from Catskill. Catskill resident "DJ Neva" is an ethnomusicologist, producer and long-time cultural activist, specializing in music from the entire African continent, as well as the Caribbean & Latin America, the Maghreb & Middle East, and the Roma (Gypsy) diaspora.
