An interview with Ralph Baker, a blind, African American photographer. Baker talks about his legal struggles, his claims to ownership of two Brooklyn buildings and his thoughts on current solitary confinement practices and excessive bail. He was convicted on charges of fraud and grand larceny in February. The telephone interview was recorded Apr. 26, 2014; Baker phoned into the WGXC Catskill studio from Riker's Island, New York City's main jail complex. He has since been sentenced and moved to the Sullivan Correctional Facility were he awaits the outcome of his appeal. Information on Baker's case can be found at therealralphbaker.blogspot.com. Plus, a broadcast of the presentation by Dr. Jared Ball entitled, "Colonialism and Mass Media Propaganda and Psychological Warfare," recorded at the Black is Back Conference, Mar. 26, 2011.
