Ginger Radio Hour: Pete Dunne (Audio)
How do birds survive the harsh Catskills winter? Author Pete Dunne has written a tremendous new book that answers that question while bringing the grim drama of birds in to focus for me. It's called The Courage of Birds and the self-described "lifelong student of birds" lays out how they've adapted to meet the challenges of winter. Our conversation touches on backyard birds like the Blue Jay, Downy Woodpecker, Black-capped Chickadee, and Juncos, along with the Snowy Owl, Arctic Tern, and more.
Host Justin Maiman from Cairo, shares his latest inspirations on the "Ginger Radio Hour." The show features music, field recordings, performances, and interviews, primarily with people in and around the Catskill Mountains of New York live from WGXC's Acra studio.
