Nuestra Música: "UNA HISTORIA DE AMOR" (Audio)
Today we are presenting Form Tango to Flamenco and “Historias de amor” (Love stories) from the romantic Latinx songbook. Today’s show highlights the romantic melodies of Latino Boleros and some bluesy and jazzy songs. We begin with an instrumental Milonga and end with Diego El Cigala with a Flamenco version of Historia de un amor. Enjoy the music.
“Nuestra Música,” “Our Music,” presents the rhythms and folklore of Latin America, Spain, Portugal, and Cape Verde. From Tango to Flamenco and all Latinx music in between. The show explores the native instruments, languages, and traditions played in 22 countries and one territory. Other than Spanish and Portuguese, "Nuestra Música" presents songs in Quechua, Mapuche, Guaraní, Nahuatl, Gallego, Spanish Basque, and Catalán. Among many styles we present: Tango, Chacarera, Baguala, Zamba with a Z and Samba with an S, Bossa Nova, Cumbia, Llanero, Vallenato, Merengue, Parrandera, Son, Bolero, Ranchera, Corrido, Marimba, Fado, Flamenco, Sevillanas, Jota, Blues, Jazz, Danzon, Mambo, and many more.
