With this broadcast, Overlooked moves to its new time, from noon to 2 p.m., every fourth Tuesday of the month, with a show focused on music heard at the Winter Jazzfest NYC earlier this month. Host Rob Saffer will play cutting edge jazz from a diverse range of artists: Mary Halvorson, Makaya McCraven, Joshua Abrams, Ben LaMar Gay, Nicole Mitchell, Justin Brown, Fay Victor and many more. Overlooked and under-heard jazz, improvisational music, and other fringe music, from early roots to contemporary experimental music — familiar to rare, classic to weird.
