Ginger Radio Hour: Mark Usher (Audio)
Jun 01, 2025
The Vermont writer, teacher, and farmer Mark Usher (pen name M.D. Usher) has just published Following Nature’s Lead: Ancient Ways of Living in a Dying World. This optimistic (I think) book is "a celebration of human ingenuity and the adaptability of Nature." By leaning on Plato, Heraclitus, Whitman, Ruskin, Bourg & Swaton, Uexküll, and other ancient and modern thinkers, Usher builds a foundation for simple, mindful living every day.
Host Justin Maiman from Cairo shares his latest inspirations on the "Ginger Radio Hour." Live from WGXC's Acra studio, the show features music, field recordings, performances, and interviews, primarily with people in and around the Catskill Mountains of New York.
