In the second hour, a conversation with Cecilia Villar Eljuri, a compelling songwriter, vocalist, and guitarist. Born in Ecuador and raised in New York City, her towering solos and emotive vocals resonate clearly through her stories of resilience, shelter, our borders, and the planet. Her music is empowering to the Latinx community and all champions of human rights. Eljuri will join us by phone to discuss Reflexión, her highly anticipated fifth solo studio album, scheduled for release on Fr., Sep. 30, with a concert at Joe’s Pub in Manhattan.
