In the 1970s, Scot Gresham-Lancaster worked closely with Serge Tcherepnin, helping with the construction and distribution of his Serge Modular Music System. 

For a few years, and then he went on to work at Oberheim Electronics. In the early 1980s, he was the technical director at the Mills College Center for Contemporary Music + teaching at various Universities. 

He is a composer, performer, instrument builder, educator and educational technology specialist who uses computer networks to create new environments for musical and cross discipline expression. As a member of The Hub, he is one of the early pioneers of "computer network" music, which uses the behavior of interconnected music machines to create innovative ways for performers and computers to interact. 

He performed in a series of "co-located" performances, collaborating in real time with live and distant dancers, video artists and musicians in network-based performances.

"Modulisme," formerly "Early ElectroMIX," is a platform that aims to support original composing for analog modular systems but not only… A radio program airing music made using modular systems… Each program lasts one hour and is especially dedicated to one composer and features some exclusive music made for us.
