The Friday edition of the WGXC Afternoon Show will be visited by DW Gibson, Director of the OMI Writers and Translators Residency Program, along with writers Donal McLaughlin (Scotland, translation/fiction), Els Beerten (Belgium, fiction) and Marjorie Celona (US, fiction). They will read excerpts from their work, discuss the residency program and their time in Columbia County. During the second hour, Heidi K. Bock, Conservation Easement Manager for the Columbia Land Conservancy will be in studio to talk about a collaboration between the CLC, the New York Department of Environmental Conservation and Cornell Cooperative Extension to train citizen scientists to collect data on wetland pools.
