As they discuss their chosen items, it is intended that you, the listener, will enjoy getting to know each guest a little bit better. Ellsworth “Unk” Slater was born one of ten children in Prattsville, N.Y. He was raised off the grid, on a farm during his early childhood. He began working in the local grocery store during high school. Slater made a career of it, and ended up owning Slater’s Great American in Cairo for 16 years. Slater fell off the mountaintop and fell in love, got married, and has two children, Justin and Bethany. He will become a grandpa in 2016.
