Toy piano and tuba! Composer/multi-instrumentalist Gina Leishman, whose concert, film, and theater works are best known with her Kamikaze Ground Crew (formed as a backup band for the Flying Karamozov Brothers), here in a 2003 duo concert with tuba maestro Marcus Rojas (Henry Threadgill, John Zorn, Foetus). The tuba solos and underscores mix deliciously with Leishman’s glass harmonica, accordion, ukulele, toy piano, piano, and some lovely/scary songs. Plus a great retelling of the tragic Greek tale of Iphigenia.
