Ginger Radio Hour: Griffin Dunne (Audio)

Jan 05, 2025

Actor, producer, director, and Hudson Valley resident Griffin Dunne has published a memoir called The Friday Afternoon Club. The book is terrific and covers a lot of ground. He shares many stories about growing up in and around Los Angeles, including the music scene in the 60s and 70s. We talk about that music and Dunne offers up his own soundtrack of the time. Expect music from bands like The Byrds, CSN&Y, The Flying Burrito Brothers, Poco, and X. Plus all the singer songwriters from Laurel Canyon and beyond: Joni Mitchell, Jackson Browne, Gram Parsons, and Linda Ronstadt.

Host Justin Maiman from Cairo, shares his latest inspirations on the "Ginger Radio Hour." The show features music, field recordings, performances, and interviews, primarily with people in and around the Catskill Mountains of New York live from WGXC's Acra studio.
