Overlooked: Horse Lords (Audio)
After the local news at noon, two hours of the innovative music of Horse Lords, a Baltimore-based quartet that recently relocated to Berlin. Through five studio albums and four extended ‘mixtapes’ in 11 years, the band has utilized polyrhythms, drones, and the arcane "just intonation" tuning system, to explore swirling blends that mix rock and Tuareg music, dance electronica, and avant-garde noise, jazz and afro-beat, punk and krautrock, minimalism and maximalism, and more.
