This encore edition features a conversation with Bob Hoven, board president of the Friends of Beattie-Powers Place, a 178-year-old Catskill estate overlooking the Hudson River that is on the National Register of Historic Places. We hear about the history of the house and how it’s been preserved over the years. [Originally broadcast on March 28, 2017.] Dedicated to the history of Greene County, its notable people and places and the Hudson River, the show features interviews with local historians, longtime residents with stories to tell, and archival recorded material.
