Today we present one of the giants of the guitar, the king of the desert blues: Ali Farka Toure. We draw on three of his later albums highlighting his fully developed style. One album also features the great Malian Kora player Toumani Diabate. Music from around the world is featured. Bringing the audience into the realm of other cultures through music, hopefully expanding empathy for the “other,” and recognizing that “other” in ourselves.
