March 2016 marks a historic turning point in America's diplomatic relations with our Cuban neighbors for the first time in over 50 years. To help celebrate this historic moment we dug into our archives and found two outstanding programs that highlight the music of Cuba. Margot Adler presents songs from the Paredon Record Cuba Va!, A Brooklyn New York-based label that released a collection of contemporary music from 1971. Later we will present a program based on music collected by Angela Davis while attending the 2nd Congress of the Federation of Cuban Women in 1974.
