Today is Carla Bley’s 87th birthday. "Playing Favorites" celebrates the work of one of the greatest living jazz composers with an hour of her music, written and performed with big bands and trios from 1971-2020.

Formerly called "The Morning Sampler," on this show host Brendan Donegan plays, "an eclectic mix of old and new blues, electronica, pop, RnB, country, Latin, rock, rap and a bit of classical music" live from WGXC's Hudson studio.
