On March 8, the NY Renews climate coalition held at rally of 400 people at the State Capitol to demand action on climate, starting with $15 billion for climate in state budget, especially for disadvantaged communities. Mark Dunlea from WOOC heard from five speakers and then chanting at the Mansion: Bob Cohen of Citizen Action and NY Renews, Daniel Morrisey of TAP (Troy Architectural Practice), Matt Olli of Extinction Rebellion, John Palberg of NYS Council of Churches, and Irene Wexler of Fossil Free Tompkins.
