Overlooked: The Long and Short of Newly Released Music
90.7-FM in NY's Upper Hudson Valley and wgxc.org/listen everywhere
http://www.wgxc.org/
Hosted by Rob Saffer.
This installment of “Overlooked” will feature all newly released music alternating between short, efficient tunes and longer more exploratory ones. The short tunes, such as a preacher’s 23-second rhythmic rant and 90-second musical sketch of a painted bunting, function as interludes between the longer pieces that explore improvisation, just intonation, drones, and a host of other long-form musical strategies.
