In this broadcast, a conversation with Meg Nowack of Historic Catskill about the history of the Greene County Poorhouse in Cairo. The interview was recorded at the WGXC Hudson Studio, Mon., Jan. 19. Backtracks in Time is dedicated to the history of Greene County, its notable people and places and the Hudson River. The show features interviews with local historians, longtime residents with stories to tell, and archival recorded material.

Jack Sencabaugh is a lifelong resident of the village of Catskill. His interest in local history began at a young age and he is currently a volunteer at the Freightmaster’s Museum Building at Historic Catskill Point. This WGXC podcast is subscribable.
