The episode moves with rhythm — the spirit of Cynthia Erivo’s “Stand Up” from Harriet alongside the enduring words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. It is both retrospective and forward-looking, honoring the conversations that have shaped the program’s mission.

    Ernest C. Wood, retired Education Administrator and Hudson, NY native reflecting on identity and the evolution of racial terminology; 

    Jerald L. Hoover, author of the Hero Book Series, championing literacy and representation for young Black boys; 

    Rev. Kim L. Singletary, pastor and fellow host on WGXC-90.7FM, raising questions about census categories and the meaning of claiming the “human race”; 

    Kenny Perry, owner of Organic Mindset Agency, exploring race, symbolism, and cultural representation; and 

    Heidi L. Hill of Schuyler Mansion State Historic Site, expanding historical narratives to include enslaved and Indigenous communities.
