Together we will learn the history of the popular and traditional immune supportive remedy “Fire Cider” – a perfect tonic for Fall and Winter. We will craft our own preparations to take home while learning about the medicinal uses of the plants, herbs, and roots we will use. All materials provided. Rich Maddocks and Lauren Giambrone are dear friends, co-conspirators and lovers of people and plants. Rich is the founder of Monarda Community Care, a local organization offering free acupuncture, herbal medicine and community care resources at pop-up clinics in Hudson, including at the Hudson Area Library. Lauren is a Community Herbalist and founder of Good Fight Herb Co., offering potions and pep talks in Hudson since 2010, with values rooted in harm reduction and social and environmental justice.
