A 2001 study found that visitors at the Metropolitan Museum of Art looked at an individual artwork for an average of 17 seconds. The Slow Art Day mission is simple: to help more people learn how to look at and love art in their communities. Participants will look slowly at five iconic sculptures in The Fields and gather for a discussion.
