Greene County Council for the Arts is sponsoring an Indian Summer garden party at the beautifully restored Beattie-Powers Place overlooking the Hudson River. Located in the historic district of Catskill, the Beattie-Powers Place with its spectacular lawn and garden provides an idyllic setting to experience the ambiance that inspired Thomas Cole and Frederic Church. An Afternoon in the Garden is scheduled from 1 to 5 p.m on Saturday, October 9. Admission is $25 for members and their guests and $40 for non-members. Each non-member admission includes a one-year membership to the GCCA (a $25 value). Children under 12 are free.
