Jack Larkin, Chief Historian and Museum Scholar at Old Sturbridge Village for 40 years, gives a talk called, ""The Shape of Everyday Life: Peeking in on Thomas Cole and His Family at Home" exploring the way life was lived in Thomas Cole’s home. A historian of 19th century American society, material life and architecture, Larkin is the author of "The Reshaping of Everyday Life: 1790-1840," an indispensable reference to the fascinating and little-known details of how life was lived during Cole’s time. Larkin, also Affiliate Professor of History at Clark University, will sign copies of his recent book, "Where We Lived: Discovering the Places We Once Called Home," after his talk.
