His research is in all time periods of Hudson Valley archaeology, however his main focus is in the Native American period. Ciccone specializes in the study of the first native cultures to inhabit the Hudson River Valley region at the end of the last Ice Age approximately 13,000 years ago. He has presented his research at international conferences as far away as Honolulu, Hawaii. He will be presenting a talk on the Native American people who inhabited Greene County and the environs. He will also be bringing many artifacts from his extensive excavations in and around Greene County. For advance tickets contact Sylvia Hasenkopf at 518-821-3852.
