Summer lecture series at the Gazebo in Chatham. Christina Francis of HelpOrphanPuppies.org will talk about her organization which focuses on fostering and finding permanent homes for puppies with special needs. Anyone who wants to help can bring the following items to donate: puppy and dog toys, canned dog food, Purina One dry dog food, or old blankets and towels. Also bring a picture of your favorite pet for a “Pet Picture Parade.” Then for the second part of the evening local hula hoop enthusiast Kathleen Ellis will demonstrate and offer you a chance to try her giant hoops.
