Planning for the local commemoration of the Lincoln Funeral Train. The train made a brief stop in Hudson at approximately 9:30 p.m, Apr. 25, 1865, and shortly after that in Stuyvesant, before continuing on to a longer stopover in Albany. The train carried the bodies of Abraham Lincoln and of his son, William Wallace Lincoln, to their final resting places in Springfield, Ill. The 150th anniversary of the journey will be commemorated Apr. 19 to Apr. 25, 2015. Events are being planned in Hudson and Stuyvesant.
