Were 252,000 miles of stone walls—enough to reach the far side of the moon—in fact built by European colonists in a period of roughly 100 years, or are they perhaps much, much older? On Saturday December 10 at 4 PM the Claverack Library will host local author Matt Bua, presenting his recent book, Talking Walls. Admirers of stone walls, walkers, artists, local history buffs, aspiring masons, and lovers of handmade books will be drawn to this unusual volume, a perfect holiday gift.
Seasonal refreshments will be served, and books will be available for sale with cash, check, or credit card. The Claverack Free Library is located at 629 Rte 23B at the intersection of Rte 9H with parking behind the library. For information contact 518 851-7120.
