Saturday August 11, 5-7 PM in the Studio Barns at Omi International Arts Center. The 2012 Dance Omi International Dance Collective welcomes ten international Dance Artists to its artistic oasis in upstate New York to explore their craft, exchange ideas, and collaborate in a facilitated, supportive setting. The Residency values not only the nurturing of its Residents, but also bringing the arts to the public. The Artists Salon provides Dance Omi Residents, and the public, an opportunity to see each other’s work before beginning their collaborative process. It is an intimate event, and gives context to each individual artist. This event is free to the public, and is an exciting opportunity for audiences to see dance from diverse cultures, backgrounds, and styles.
