Free Workshop With Matt Bua for children ages 6-12. What would it look like if a group of young minds drew their most fantastical ideas of dwellings and realms on paper and then proceeded to build them collaboratively as a single small scale model? In this after school art workshop students will be asked to envision their dream structures, record them on paper with words and images, and then be taught simple model making techniques that will stress how to build structurally integral objects. The initial ideas and drawings will then be compiled into a Zine for all to enjoy. Students will gain experience in drawing, basic painting, collage/ bricolage, sculpture and model making techniques, zine making, and brainstorming and researching ideas.
