The Carey Institute for Global Good will host a Farm-to-Glass Classroom Workshop on local honey and mead production, on Saturday, May 10, from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. The workshop is an opportunity for novice and established mead makers, beekeepers interested in learning about this new market opportunity and anyone interested in using honey in craft beverage production. The following panelists are scheduled to appear: Paul Cappy, Apiculturist, NYS Agriculture & Markets; Peter Voelker, Owner and Operator, Helderberg Meadworks; and Jamie Caligure, Head Brewer of Cave Mountain Brewery.
