The Greenhorns
Jun 02, 2012: 6:30 pm- 8:30 pm
Chatham Public Library
11 Woodbridge Ave. | Chatham, NY
Film screening of the new farmer documentary "The Greenhorns" followed by a Q&A with the film’s director, farmer and activist Severine von Tscharner Fleming, and other area new farmers. Fleming will also be signing copies of the newly released book "Greenhorns: 50 Dispatches from the New Farmers’ Movement." The film and book both feature farmers from around the country and are expressions of Greenhorns, a larger national advocacy project, based in Hudson, NY, to recruit, support, and promote young farmers in America. The screening is part of a series of events highlighting new farmers in Columbia County associated with the New Farmer Narrative Project exhibit, created by the Hawthorne Valley Farmscape Ecology Program. This traveling exhibit will be at the Chatham Library through June 3.
