In collaboration with the Terra Foundation for American Art, the High Museum of Art and the new Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, the musée du Louvre kicks off a series of one-room exhibitions, each featuring a different American artist, starting with Cole. “New Frontier: Thomas Cole and the Birth of Landscape Painting in America,” will travel to the United States after its premiere at the Louvre.
