Local guitarist Alexander Turnquist will perform in a duo with Loren Dent and with Ghost Flute & Dice at Spotty Dog Books & Ale at 8:00 on May 25th. This concert will be streamed live over the Spotty Dog webstream. Ghost Flute & Dice started as a subconscious urge to expand the pianos sonic capabilities. The intention was to make big walls of sound or empty moon landscapes, but at the same time be able to squeeze in a small melody and chordchanges. And it had to be possible to do it while playing. Thus the "Amplified Piano" came into being - an acoustic piano connected to a handful of effectpedals, just like guitarists have done for 50 years.
