Columbia Land Conservancy is hosting an apple tree care workshop at Samascott Orchards in Kinderhook, NY. Led by Jake Samascott and CLC trustee Will Yandik, the workshop covers how to care for apple trees and develop skills to take home.

GARRIN BENFIELD
Brooklyn and Hillsdale, NY-based singer songwriter Garrin Benfield has released five full length albums and has been touring nationally since 2000. Employing live looping, Garrin improvises rhythmic jams and soundscapes that emerge from his own original songs and eclectic covers. He has collaborated and played with Boz Scaggs, Dan Bern, and Bonnie Raitt’s band, among many others.

LEAH GUADAGNOLI / FANCY FEAST SUPPER CLUB
Fancy Feast Supper Club is a dinner series organized by artist, chef, and homesteader Leah Guadagnoli. She brings people together through homegrown, globally inspired vegetarian meals prepared from her garden with passion, love, and a genuine curiosity for the overlapping flavors and techniques our expansive universe has to offer. Through extensive research and an ethically conscious appreciation of other cultures through food, her goal is to celebrate our commonalities and unique differences to form connections and better understand the world we share.

One of just a handful of undisputed classics of the American stage, Tennessee Williams’ haunting “The Glass Menagerie” returns to Bridge Street Theatre’s intimate “Priscilla” Mainstage for eight more performances April 4-13. This revival of BST’s critically-acclaimed 2023 production of Williams’ moving remembrance of family ties, lost dreams, and shattered illusions is directed by Steven Patterson, with Leigh Strimbeck as Amanda Wingfield, Taylor Congdon as Laura, Brett Mack as Tom, and Russell Sperberg as gentleman caller Jim O’Connor. Weekly live improvised ambient music featuring David and Kenji Garland, Dan Kirkhus, Jimmy Garver, Rodney Greenblat and guest performers. Enjoy coffee and breakfast while floating on a cushion of ambient sound by adventurous musicians.

Every Monday at 7:30 p.m. No previous singing experience is required. For most of us, our voice is our most important medium of expression. With this voice we can sing, we can praise, we can express joy or pain, and we can teach. But often, our relationship with our voice becomes disconnected. We underestimate the effect our voice has on our bodies and our lives. This workshop is a doorway into reconnecting with your voice and expressing yourself more fully. Through a series of simple tones, or notes sung for long periods, we gently begin to observe the relationships between the voice, the body, the breath, and the self. This workshop is not affiliated with any spiritual practice. All people are welcome, and no singing experience is required. There is a short introduction and instruction, followed by 30 minutes of a guided toning series, and open discussion afterward (optional). Open to the public, but donations are graciously accepted.
