Trumpeter Chris Pasin performs the music of Ornette Coleman with Adam Siegel, Michael Bisio, Harvey Sorgen, and special guests Creative Music Studio founders Karl Berger and Ingrid Sertso. For his fourth CD as leader, jazz trumpeter Chris Pasin leads his band Ornettiquette in saluting NEA Jazz Master and Pulitzer Prize winner Ornette Coleman and his long-time collaborator Don Cherry. With his new album, “Ornettiquette,” trumpeter Chris Pasin and his band of musicians take a joyous look at the music of saxophonist/composer/innovator Ornette Coleman and his long-time sonic partner trumpeter Don Cherry. This is the fourth release as a leader for New York-native Pasin, a longtime practitioner of jazz from straight-ahead to avant-garde. WGXC broadcasts this show from our partner station WOOC-LP in Troy, New York.
