Tours will be offered on the second Saturday of the month with departures from either Hudson or Athens public boat launches on August 10; September 14; and October 12, 2019. Departure times from Hudson are: 11 a.m., noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m.; and from Athens: 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. Located in the middle of the Hudson River between the Village of Athens and the City of Hudson, the Hudson-Athens Lighthouse was built in 1874 (then called the “Hudson Light”) to guide ships safely around the Middle Ground Flats.
