A musical manifesto for movement and for the Movement, take 2. Hosted by Videofreex Nancy Cain with DJ Skip B, this live two-hour radio show broadcasts sets of new and old hot dance tracks with lyrics espousing progressive social, cultural, political and personal change. Turn the volume up loud and dance your ass off for a better future. Please suggest tracks by calling the WGXC Acra NY Studio at (518) 622-2598 or emailing info@wgxc.org. In the 1970s Videofreex lived and worked collectively in Maple Tree Farm, a 27-room former boarding house (now an Airbnb) in the heart of the Catskill Mountains, operating a video production studio, media center, residency program, organic garden and pirate TV broadcasting station. At our dance parties, we had to jack up the living room floor because otherwise it would bounce way too much. Visit www.Videofreex.com for more about the participatory media pioneers.
