Music from around the world is featured. Bringing the audience into the realm of other cultures through music, hopefully expanding empathy for the “other,” and recognizing that “other” in ourselves. An interesting collaboration between a blind street musician (Sorie Kondi) from Sierra Leone who plays the local version of the African thumb piano (kondi) and an American from Sierra Leone, Chief Boima, who produces electronic dance music. We sample music from their newest release as well as revisiting their previous recordings, some of which aired in an earlier show.
