This is an unusual RAIN Report in that you're going to hear two California hams participating in a Skype conference call with RAIN Founder & Producer, Hap Holly/KC9RP. The topic is Radio Mala, the Nepalese Connection.. In the spring of 2015 two killer earthquakes measuring over 7.3 each rocked Nepal, a country sandwiched between India and China in the Himalayan mountains, killing thousands of people. Less than six months later this land-locked nation was pummeled by a monsoon cyclone. Fortunately Nepal has some reliable emergency communications via ham radio, thanks to the efforts of Two California hams.
