From Semptember 15 until October 15 we are celebrating the Latinx Heritage Month, and today we are presenting the Latinx Diaspora Experience with those singers and songwriter who shared their heritage throughout the world.

We start the show with the Brazilian group Tribalistas and the song appropriately titled Diaspora, followed by world ambassador of Cuban music Celia Cruz, and the song Drume Negrita and another cultural ambassador, Mercedes Sosa from Argentina, in a live performance in NY with the song La Pobrecita. The show will include Pablo Milanes, Joan Manuel Serrat, Silvio Rodriguez, Joaquin Sabina, Los Folkloristas, Armando Manzanero, Alberto Cortez, Caetano Veloso, Cesaria Evora, UCHPA, Susana Rinaldi, Tito Puente and Chabuca Granda. 

“Nuestra Música,” “Our Music,” presents the rhythms and folklore of Latin America, Spain, Portugal, and Cape Verde. From Tango to Flamenco and all Latinx music in between. The show explores the native instruments, languages, and traditions played in 22 countries and one territory. Other than Spanish and Portuguese, "Nuestra Música" presents songs in Quechua, Mapuche, Guaraní, Nahuatl, Gallego, Spanish Basque, and Catalán. Among many styles we present: Tango, Chacarera, Baguala, Zamba with a Z and Samba with an S, Bossa Nova, Cumbia, Llanero, Vallenato, Merengue, Parrandera, Son, Bolero, Ranchera, Corrido, Marimba, Fado, Flamenco, Sevillanas, Jota, Blues, Jazz, Danzon, Mambo, and many more.
