There are some musicians we return to again and again and the American composer and trumpet player Jon Hassell is one of them. Born in 1937 he passed away in 2021, but left behind an impressive body of work some of which is only now being released. In between selections of his music we hear an album by the Moroccan born singer Amina Alaoui in collaboration with conductor/pianist John Balke and with Jon Hassell as a supporting member of the group.
